Setting Up a Basic Website

Last night I was at the book store with my wife and daughter, and of
course I wandered off into the computer section. While I was there I
ran into a fellow who was interested in starting a website for his
collector's club and he needed help from the ground up. He knew what
a website was, and even tried to use one of the free website tools
from Google. Unfortunately he wound up confused and frustrated.

The short term solution was to point him to a good book on the subject
(Websites for Dummies I believe), and he left satisfied. But while I
was talking with him I realized that there really aren't that many
good options for websites if you're a complete newbie. For the
experienced user there are great tools like Drupal that let you build
really complex sites. For the new guy though, you're on your own.

That's when I remembered this great article that I wrote for CeaMuS.
